Single cover. Owepar (digital single) (2024)
Owepar Records on Friday, December 20 released Heidi Parton's new Christmas single "Oh, What a Night" featuring Dolly. Heidi is Dolly's niece, the daughter of her brother Randy. The seven-minute song is a wonderful addition to your Christmas playlist. Heidi and Dolly sound wonderful throughout. It was written by Jimmy Lee Bryant. The single is available now on all digital music platforms. Give it a listen below! As Dolly would say, I hope you get a blessing out of it!

Precious Memories (1999)
Sha-Kon-O-Hey! Land of Blue Smoke (2009)
Several updates and reissues were added to Dolly's streaming and digital download catalog on Friday, December 13. Two rare and out-of-print albums were released digitally for the first time. Precious Memories, released in April 1999 at the opening of Dollywood's fourteenth season (1999–2000), was sold exclusively at the park with all proceeds going to the Dollywood Foundation. It was produced by Dolly's cousin Richie Owens, who also produced her 1998 album Hungry Again and  her most recent project, Smoky Mountain DNA. Dolly's 2009 extended play, Sha-Kon-O-Hey! Land of Blue Smoke, released in February 2009, was created alongside a show at Dollywood to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was exclusively sold at Dollywood and through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With the release of these two projects, all of what I consider Dolly's core discography is now available online.
Celebrate the Dreamer in You (2024)
I Still Believe (2024)
Two songs were also reissued. The first, "Celebrate the Dreamer in You", is a song Dolly wrote to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Dollywood. It's first "official" release was in April 2010 when the complete original studio version was used in a Dollywood "Memories Photo Album" video that the park played at Dolly's media appearance on season pass holders' preview day. This version has never been released for download or purchase, but is available on YouTube. Following the broadcast of Hallmark Channel's television special Dolly Celebrates 25 Years of Dollywood, a free download of the live version performed during the special was made available from Hallmark Channel's website and Facebook page. An alternate studio version was released in 2012 as part of the audiobook Dream More: Celebrate the Dreamer in You that omits the song's intro and some of the backing vocals heard in the April 2010 version. A fourth version was made available as a digital single on December 13. This version features different instrumentation and omits all backing vocals. Dolly's 2020 inspirational single, "I Still Believe", which was released to promote the television special A Holly Dolly Christmas where she performed the track, has also been reissued as a digital single. The track was first made available as a digital bonus track on A Holly Dolly Christmas in 2020. Both singles feature new artwork.
Backwoods Barbie (2008)
Live from London (2009)
Blue Smoke (2014)
Pure & Simple (2016)
Several retailer exclusive bonus tracks were added to streaming and digital platforms on Friday as well. Dolly's 2008 album Backwoods Barbie saw five bonus tracks added: the iTunes bonus tracks "I Will Always Love You (Live)" and "The Grass Is Blue (Live)" (2008 pre-order exclusive) and the 2009 Cracker Barrel Collector's Edition bonus tracks "Rose of My Heart", "Hallelujah Holiday", and "Berry Pie". "Rose of My Heart was prerviously reissued as a digital bonus track on Run, Rose, Run in 2022 with the Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams edition. "Berry Pie" was reissued as a digital single in 2023 after the song gained popularity on TikTok.

The bonus tracks from the Walmart exclusive edition of Blue Smoke were mistakenly added to Dolly's 2011 album Better Day, but the mistakes don't stop there. The tracks are in a different order from the CD release, "Get Up, Get Out, Get On" is a shorter version of the song (possibly a demo), and "Early Morning Breeze" is the 1971 recording from Coat of Many Colors instead of the re-recorded 2014 bonus track. "Early Morning Breeze" has since been corrected to the 2014 re-recording.

Two bonus tracks from the 2012 Cracker Barrel exclusive An Evening With...Dolly ("Shattered Image" and "My Tennessee Mountain Home") were added to the original 2009 album Live from London. Two glaring issues here is that they have used the UK artwork instead of the US artwork and the recording of "My Tennessee Mountain Home" used is from the 1994 album Heatsongs: Live from Home and is not the version included on An Evening With...Dolly.

Last but not least, two bonus tracks from Pure & Simple have been made available digitally worldwide. "Mama" and "Lovin' You" were originally released as Walmart exclusives in the US and international edition bonus tracks in 2016.

It's great that all of these have been reissued, but a little more quality control and research needs to be implemented. Dolly is too iconic of an artist for her discography to be treated so carelessly.
