Background

PicturePictured clockwise from bottom left are Shea Noble, Trevor Noble, Terry Noble, Sheri Noble, and Aubry Noble.
By 1998, The Nobles, a family band from Park Hill, Oklahoma, had been making music together for about seven years. Park Hill is a small town located just four miles south of Tahlequah along State Highway 82. The group consists of dad Terry, mom Sheri, their oldest daughter Shea, youngest daughter Aubry, and brother Trevor.

In November 1997, they got a call from their Nashville producer, Darrin Vincent, who had some incredible news. Vincent, a longtime friend of Dolly Parton and her producer, reached out to her for a special favor.

Dolly had always said she owed Darrin a favor, so he sent her a copy of the Nobles' song "Sleepless Nights" and asked if she'd be interested in adding some harmony. After hearing Aubry's vocals, Dolly was on board. They all checked their schedules and found that the only time they could all meet was Thanksgiving morning. So, the family decided to celebrate Thanksgiving a week early and head to Nashville.

The Nobles released their debut album, Reason to Believe, in 1996. When "Sleepless Nights" was released, it was said to be from their second album, Slow Glowin' Dream, which should have been released in June 1998. I've never been able to find a copy of the album or even a picture of it, so its unclear if it was ever released.
