"You Can't Make Old Friends" is a single by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. It was released for digital download on September 3, 2013, by Warner Music Nashville as the first single from Rogers' album of the same name. It was sent to country radio on November 4. The song was written by Ryan Hanna King, Don Schlitz, and Caitlyn Smith. It was produced by Dann Huff. The single peaked at number 57 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and ​number 28 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart. The song was later included on Dolly's 2014 album, Blue Smoke.

"You Can't Make Old Friends" was recorded act Starstruck Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; Blackbird Studio in Nashville; and Doppler Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Music video

The song's music video was directed by Trey Fanjoy and premiered November 16, 2013, on ABC.

Commercial performance

"You Can't Make Old Friends" debuted and peaked at number 57 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart dated December 28, 2013, its only week on the chart. It debuted and peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart dated April 4, 2020, following Rogers' death in March 2020. This was it's only week on that chart.
