"Peace Like a River", Dolly and Dionne Warwick's highly anticipated gospel duet, was released today (February 24). The song was written by Dolly back in the 1980s, but she never released it. Although, a portion of the songs lyrics were featured on a greeting card from Dolly's Hallmark collection in the 1990s. Dolly told Robin Roberts in a February 7 interview on Good Morning America that she sent Dionne a demo of the song recorded in the 1990s and that she loved it and wanted to record it as a duet. Dionne called the song "Dolly's testimony" and a "song of inspiration." The new single was produced by Dolly and Dionne's son, Damon Elliott. Listen to the single below. The February 7 Good Morning America interview and a picture of the greeting card are below, also. "Peace Like a River" is available for purchase or streaming on all digital platforms.
