November 14, 1989: The Steel Magnolias soundtrack album is released. Dolly does not perform on the soundtrack, although she did write "Eagle When She Flies" for the film, but it was not used.

November 15, 2011: The Bill Anderson box set The First 10 Years, 1956–1966 is released. The set marks the first release of "If It’s All the Same to You", a duet recorded by Bill Anderson and Dolly in 1964.

November 16, 2018: "Jolene (New String Version)" is released as the third single from the Dumplin’ soundtrack album.

​November 17, 1980: Dolly’s twenty-third solo studio album, 9 to 5 and Odd Jobs, is released. It peaked at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and number 11 on the Billboard 200. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA in March 1981 for shipment of 500,000 copies.

November 17, 2020: The Songteller: My Life in Lyrics audiobook is released.

November 19, 1976: "Shattered Image" is released as a single in the UK. It is the third and final single from Dolly’s seventeenth solo studio album, All I Can Do.

​November 19, 2002: The compilation album Banjoman: A Tribute to Derroll Adams is released. Dolly contributed "Dixie Darling" to the collection, a collaboration with Arlo Guthrie.

    The Grass Is Blue is the thirty-seventh solo studio album by Dolly Parton. It was released on October 26, 1999, by Sugar Hill Records and Dolly's own Blue Eye Records. The first in Dolly's critically acclaimed bluegrass trilogy, it was produced by Steve Buckingham. It peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Two singles were released, "A Few Old Memories" and "Silver Dagger". The album won Best Bluegrass Album at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards.

    Administrator

    Ben Childers is the administrator of The Dolly Parton Discography. A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, he grew up taking family vacations to the Smokies and Dollywood. His love for Dolly and her music reached a fanatical level in April 2013. After spending countless hours researching and cataloging Dolly's musical output, he decided to open a website dedicated to her discography. His dream of meeting Dolly came true on May 23, 2024.
