This website is dedicated to exploring the discography of Dolly Parton, the undisputed Queen of Country Music!
This page provides an overview of the website and explains how the discography is organized.
ALBUMS The albums section is split up into eight categories: studio albums, extended plays, live albums, soundtrack albums, compilation albums, audiobooks, radio albums, and other album appearances. Each release is represented with its own page featuring information about the album. Due to the high number of Dolly compilation albums released over the years, they are split up by decade and link to their respective Discogs listing, unless the album featured new material, in these cases the releases have their own page here.
SINGLES The singles section is split up by decade and features the most complete listing of Dolly's singles ever complied. It includes all original singles in addition to any singles that were re-released to promote compilation albums. Each single's page includes the US release (where applicable) along with any foreign release picture sleeves. Occasionally, a foreign release included a different B-side to the US release, in these cases the foreign release track listing is also included. RELEASE DATES All release dates are US release dates unless otherwise noted. The exact release date for some older releases (1959-1980s) are unknown and have been estimated based on review dates in Billboard, Cashbox, and Record World magazines or chart debut dates, and are as precise as they can be without official confirmation from the record labels.
TEXT The text on the album and single pages is almost entirely original work. I worked for several years cleaning up many of Dolly's album pages on Wikipedia, so much of this material was previously published there. The text has been slightly modified from what was published on Wikipedia. I would like to also acknowledge anyone who contributed to Dolly's album pages on Wikipedia prior to my working on them. Their contributions laid the groundwork for much of what I wrote.
