The song was written by Dolly and is an alternate take from the version issued on Trio II. The album version features Emmylou on lead vocals. Since it was recorded during the sessions for Trio II, it was likely produced by George Massenburg.

Background
Composed by Dolly in the early 1970s, she first recorded the song with Chet Atkins in 1976 for his compilation album, The Best of Chet Atkins & Friends. Dolly performed the song in her live show throughout the 1970s, but did not record a solo version until 1982 on Heartbreak Express. The next time Dolly recorded the song was in 1994 during the Trio II sessions that produced the album version and this alternate take.
