Grand Ole Opry (Show No. 482) is a promotional album featuring two live performances by Dolly. The record was released in late 1967 by WSM. Side A was recorded on October 7, 1967, Dolly's first night performing at the Opry since her debut in 1959. This LP was intended for radio syndication of the Grand Ole Opry and there was only a small number pressed. It is extremely rare, selling on eBay for over $250.
Dolly performed "Dumb Blonde" and a cover of Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billie Joe", which she would later perform on episode 173 of The Porter Wagoner Show. |
