"Lost Forever in Your Kiss" is a single by Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton. It was released on March 6, 1972, by RCA Victor as the first single from Porter and Dolly's eighth collaborative studio album, Together Always. The song was written by Dolly and produced by Bob Ferguson. It peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Recording

"Together Always" was recorded on September 30, 1971, at RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee, while "The Fog Has Lifted" was recorded on September 28. Both tracks were recorded during sessions for Porter and Dolly's previous album, ​The Right Combination • Burning the Midnight Oil.

Critical reception

The single was review in the March 18, 1972 issue of Cashbox. The review read, "Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton have the right combination again with tight and real harmonies applied to top rate material. "Lost Forever in Your Kiss" is sure to find itself quickly in the upper levels of the charts."

Billboard included the single in their New Radio Action and Billboard Pick Singles section in the issue dated March 18, 1972.

Commercial performance

"Lost Forever in Your Kiss" debuted at number 54 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart dated April 8, 1972. It peaked at number nine on the chart dated June 10. It charted for 14 weeks. It also peaked at number five on the Cashbox Country Singles chart.
