"Peace Train" is a single by Dolly Parton. It was released in November 1996 as the second single from Dolly's thirty-fourth solo studio album, Treasures. It was written by Cat Stevens and produced by Steve Buckingham. Stevens originally version of the song reached number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1971. Dolly's version features vocals from Ladysmith Black Mambazo. While the single failed to impact the charts upon its initial release, a dance remix peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in 1997.
