It was released to Folk radio in February 2000 by Sugar Hill Records and Blue Eye Records as the second and final single from Dolly's thirty-seventh solo studio album, The Grass Is Blue. The song is a cover of a traditional American folk ballad, possibly originating in Britain. It was arranged by Dolly and produced by Steve Buckingham.
