"Star of the Show" is a single by Dolly Parton. It was released on July 7, 1979, exclusively in the Netherlands by RCA Records as the fourth single from Dolly's twenty-first solo studio album, Great Balls of Fire. It was released in Australia in December 1979. The song and its B-side, "Down", were both written by Dolly. It was produced by Dean Parks and Gregg Perry.

Promotional videos
Promotional videos were filmed for both sides of the single. "Star of the Show" features Dolly performing in a blue dress against a black backdrop with multi-colored lights flashing behind her, while "Down" depicts Dolly performing the song in a white dress against a gray backdrop surrounded by pink flowers.
