"What's Up?" is single by Dolly Parton featuring Linda Perry. It was released on September 22, 2023, by Butterfly Records and Big Machine Label Group as the sixth single from Dolly's forty-ninth solo studio album, Rockstar. It is a cover of the hit 1993 song by Perry's band,4 Non-Blondes. The song was written by Perry and produced by Kent Wells. It peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. The single's music video features an alternate version of the song where Dolly sings "wonder why" instead of "get real high."

Music video

​The song's music video was directed by Steve Summers and premiered on CMT and YouTube alongside the single's release on September 22, 2023. The clip was filmed at Eakin Elementary School in downtown Nashville on one the hottest days of the year.

​The music video features an alternate version of the song where Dolly sings, "And so I wake in the morning and I step outside / And I take a deep breath and wonder why," instead of the original lyric, "And so I wake in the morning and I step outside / And I take a deep breath and I get real high."

Commercial performance

The single debuted and peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Rock Digital Song Sales chart dated October 7, 2023, its only week on the chart.
