A new Dolly compilation album is among the exclusive releases announced today for Record Store Day 2023. The Monument Singles Collection, 1964–1968 will be released on April 22, 2023. The LP release is limited to 5,500 copies and marks the first time Dolly's Monument era singles have been gathered together for a complete collection. The set has been remastered from the original mono master tapes and includes liner notes by award-winning author and Grammy-nominee Holly George-Warren.
Among the highlights are several tracks that have never officially been made available outside of their original 45 single release. Those tracks are "What Do You Think About Lovin'" (an overdubbed duet version with Brenda Lee was included on 1982's The Winning Hand), "Happy, Happy Birthday Baby" (an overdubbed duet version with Willie Nelson was included on 1982's The Winning Hand), "I Took Him for Granted", "Control Yourself", "I'll Put It Off Until Tomorrow" (a rare "response" song to Dolly's previous composition "Put It Off Until Tomorrow"), and "Ping Pong" (an overdubbed duet version with Kris Kristofferson was included on 1982's The Winning Hand). The remaining tracks were either included on Dolly's 1967 debut album, Hello, I'm Dolly, the 1970 compilation As Long as I Love, or the 2009 4-disc box set Dolly. The complete tracklisting is below (Side A is taken from the available promo image, and Side B is assumed based on what singles followed).
