April 22, 2014: "Home" is released as the second single form Dolly's forty-fourth solo studio album, Blue Smoke, alongside the album's pre-order.

April 22, 2022: Julie and Dan release their Hymns: Some of Old, Some of New album, which includes a duet with Dolly on a cover of her 1975 hit, "The Seeker". The duet was released as a single the same day.

April 23, 2002: The Stevens Sisters released their debut album, Little by Little album. It includes a duet with Dolly on "I'll Never Say Goodbye", a song written by Dolly and originally recorded for her Hungry Again album.

April 23, 2021: Rory Feek released "One Angel" featuring Dolly and "Small Talk Café" featuring Ricky Skaggs & Sharon White Skaggs as a double A-side single from his Gentle Man album.

April 15, 1968: Just Because I’m a Woman, Dolly's second solo studio album, is released. The album peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

April 15, 1986: The Think About Love compilation album is released. The album features eight tracks, five appear in remixed form and three appear unaltered from their original release. The album peaked at number 54 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

April 15, 2023: Dolly re-released "Travelin' Thru" as a digital single. The song had previously been released as a single and featured on the soundtrack to the 2006 film Transamerica.

April 9, 2013: Paul Anka released his Duets album. It features a collaboration with Dolly on "Do I Love You? (Yes, in Every Way)". The album peaked at number 95 on the Billboard 200.

April 10, 2007: Brenda Lee released her Gospel Duets with Treasured Friends album. She duets with Dolly on "This Old House".

​April 2, 1973: Dolly's eleventh solo studio album, My Tennessee Mountain Home, is released. The album peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

April 2, 2001: "A Tender Lie", "Bluer Pastures", and "Seven Bridges Road" are released simultaneously to country, bluegrass, and Americana radio as singles from Dolly's thirty-eighth solo studio album, Little Sparrow.

April 2, 2012: The DVD + CD An Evening With…Dolly is released exclusively to Cracker Barrel stores. The set is a reissue of the 2009 Live from London CD + DVD (although the 2012 CD is abridged with two bonus tracks added). It has been certified Gold by the RIAA.

    Dumplin' (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album to the 2018 film the same name. It was released on November 30, 2018, by Dolly Records and RCA Records. It was produced by Linda Perry. The album peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot Country Albums chart. The album's release was preceded by three singles: "Here I Am", "Girl in the Movies", and "Jolene (New String Version)". The release was promoted with a CMT television special titled Dolly & Friends: The Making of a Soundtrack.

    Ben Childers is the administrator of The Dolly Parton Discography. A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, he grew up taking family vacations to the Smokies and Dollywood. His love for Dolly and her music reached a fanatical level in April 2013. After spending countless hours researching and cataloging Dolly's musical output, he decided to open a website dedicated to her discography. His dream of meeting Dolly came true on May 23, 2024.
