October 3, 1977: Dolly's nineteenth solo studio album, Here You Come Again, is released. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and made it to number 20 on the Billboard 200. It was certified Platinum by the RIAA in April 1978 for shipment of 1,000,000 copies. October 3, 1983: Ricky Skaggs released his sixth studio album, Don’t Cheat in Out Hometown. The album features harmony by Dolly on two tracks: "A Vision of Mother" and "Don't Step Over an Old Love". It peaked at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA in October 1984 for shipment of 500,000 copies.
October 3, 1994: "To Daddy" is released as a single from Dolly's live album, Heartsongs: Live from Home. The audience applause from the album version has been edited out of the single version so that it sounds like a studio recording. While "To Daddy" didn't chart, its B-side, "PMS Blues", peaked at number 70 on the Billboard Hot County Songs chart. October 3, 2019: Zach Williams released his duet with Dolly, "There Was Jesus", as the second single from his Rescue Story album. The single peaked at number one on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart and won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song in 2021.
