April 22, 2014: "Home" is released as the second single form Dolly's forty-fourth solo studio album, Blue Smoke, alongside the album's pre-order.

April 22, 2022: Julie and Dan release their Hymns: Some of Old, Some of New album, which includes a duet with Dolly on a cover of her 1975 hit, "The Seeker". The duet was released as a single the same day.

April 23, 2002: The Stevens Sisters released their debut album, Little by Little album. It includes a duet with Dolly on "I'll Never Say Goodbye", a song written by Dolly and originally recorded for her Hungry Again album.

April 23, 2021: Rory Feek released "One Angel" featuring Dolly and "Small Talk Café" featuring Ricky Skaggs & Sharon White Skaggs as a double A-side single from his Gentle Man album.

April 24, 1989: "Why'd You Come in Here Lookin' Like That" is released as the first single from Dolly's twenty-ninth solo studio album, White Limozeen. The single peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

April 26,1976: "Is Forever Longer Than Always" is released as a stand-alone single. It would be Porter and Dolly's final duet single until 1980. It peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

April 28, 2023: Bebe Rexha released her duet with Dolly, "Seasons", as a single from her album Bebe. The song’s music video was released the same day.

April 28, 2023: "Satisfied", Dolly's 1999 duet with Vestal Goodman, is re-released as a digital single. The song had previously been released on Goodman's 1999 album Vestal & Friends.

​April 29, 1985: "Real Love", a duet with Kenny Rogers, is released as the second single from Dolly's album of the same name, her twenty-seventh solo album. The single peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

April 30, 1973: "Traveling Man" is released as the only single from Dolly's twelfth solo studio album, Bubbling Over. A re-recording of a song Dolly had written and originally recorded for her 1971 album, Coat of Many Colors, the single peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

May 1, 2019: Ronnie Milsap released his duet with Dolly on an updated version of his hit song, "Smoky Mountain Rain", to Country radio as a single. It was released as a single to Adult Contemporary radio as a single in June and peaked at number 27 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

May 2, 1983: Dolly released her twenty-fifth solo studio album, Burlap & Satin. The album peaked number five on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

May 2, 2000: Kathie Lee Gifford released her Born for You album. Dolly provides backing vocals on two tracks, "Born for You / Circle Game" and "Only My Pillow Knows".

May 3, 1982: "Heartbreak Express" is released as the second single from Dolly's album of the same name. It peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

May 5, 2009: Yusuf (Cat Stevens) released his Roadsinger album. Dolly and Paul McCartney are featured on the song "Boots and Sand", which appeared as an iTunes bonus track and on the European edition DVD. It was also included on the Australian Tour Edition. The album peaked at number 41 on the Billboard 200.

May 5, 2014: The career-spanning, 6-disc Porter & Dolly box set, Just Between You and Me: The Complete Recordings, 1967–1976, is released by German label, Bear Family Records.

May 5, 2017: The Cover Stories compilation album is released. The album is a cover of Brandi Carlile's 2007 album, The Story, to benefit project War Child. Dolly covered the album's title track, "The Story".

May 5, 2023: Chris Janson released "21 Forever" featuring Dolly and Slash, as a single from his The Outlaw Side of Me album.

    Blue Smoke is the forty-fourth solo studio album by Dolly Parton. It was released by Dolly Records and Sony Masterworks on January 31, 2014, in Australia and New Zealand; May 13, 2024, in North America; and June 9, 2014, in Europe. The release was staggered to coincide with each leg of the Blue Smoke Tour, which ran from January to July 2014, grossing over $20 million. The album was produced by Kent Wells with Dolly serving as executive producer. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and number six on the all-genre Billboard 200. Four singles were released from the album: "Blue Smoke", "Home", "Try", and "Unlikely Angel". At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, "You Can't Make Old Friends" was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

    Ben Childers is the administrator of The Dolly Parton Discography. A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, he grew up taking family vacations to the Smokies and Dollywood. His love for Dolly and her music reached a fanatical level in April 2013. After spending countless hours researching and cataloging Dolly's musical output, he decided to open a website dedicated to her discography. His dream of meeting Dolly came true on May 23, 2024.
