January 9, 2006: Martina McBride released her Dolly collaboration "I Still Miss Someone" as the second single from her Timeless album. The Johnny Cash cover peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

January 10, 2011: The Grascals released the Cracker Barrel exclusive album, Country Classics with a Bluegrass Spin. The album features Dolly on a cover of the Porter and Dolly song "The Pain of Loving You" and two versions of "I Am Strong". The album peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

January 10, 2012: The Joyful Noise soundtrack is released. The soundtrack peaked at number 12 on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Billboard Soundtrack Albums chart.

January 12, 2009: Dolly released "Drives Me Crazy" to Adult Contemporary radio as the fourth single from her Backwoods Barbie album. The Fine Young Cannibals cover did not chart.

January 13, 1975: "The Bargain Store" is released as the only single from Dolly’s album of the same name. The single reportedly caused some controversy when radio DJs misinterpreted the song's lyrics as an alluding to prostitution. Regardless, the song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

January 14, 1985: Emmylou Harris released The Ballad of Sally Rose. The album features harmony by Dolly and Linda Ronstadt, among others, throughout. Unfortunately, the liner notes do not indicate which tracks Dolly contributed to. The album peaked at number eight on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

January 14, 2022: "Big Dreams and Faded Jeans" is released as the first single from Dolly’s forty-eighth solo studio album, Run, Rose, Run. The single did not chart.

January 15, 1968: Porter Wagoner and Dolly’s first collaborative studio album, Just Between You and Me, is released. The album peaked at number eight on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

January 15, 2016: Stella Parton released her Mountain Songbird album, which is a tribute to Dolly. The album is comprised of Dolly compositions and features Dolly on a new Stella-penned track, "More Power to Ya".​

    Dumplin' (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album to the 2018 film the same name. It was released on November 30, 2018, by Dolly Records and RCA Records. It was produced by Linda Perry. The album peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot Country Albums chart. The album's release was preceded by three singles: "Here I Am", "Girl in the Movies", and "Jolene (New String Version)". The release was promoted with a CMT television special titled Dolly & Friends: The Making of a Soundtrack.

    Administrator

    Ben Childers is the administrator of The Dolly Parton Discography. A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, he grew up taking family vacations to the Smokies and Dollywood. His love for Dolly and her music reached a fanatical level in April 2013. After spending countless hours researching and cataloging Dolly's musical output, he decided to open a website dedicated to her discography. His dream of meeting Dolly came true on May 23, 2024.
